Arizona Ironwood, also known as Desert Ironwood, is native to Southwestern US and Sonoran Desert. It is one of the hardest and densest woods in the world. Native Americans have used this wood for centuries. Settlers used it for their wagon wheels! It’s colors are said to depict the Southwest desert sunsets with dark rich tones sometimes splashes of reddish, yellowish and even purple hues. It is so dense….it does not float!!
